 ⚠️ Warning to residents in the Neath area – please stay vigilant ⚠️

We’ve received concerns about rogue traders targeting vulnerable and elderly residents in the Neath area.

These individuals may knock on doors offering services such as roofing repairs, driveway work, gutter cleaning, gardening, or other home maintenance—often claiming urgent work is needed or offering a “special deal” if you agree immediately. In many cases, the work is overpriced, unnecessary, poorly completed, or not carried out at all.

Please help protect elderly relatives, neighbours, and vulnerable members of our community by sharing this advice:

✅ Do not agree to work from unexpected doorstep callers

✅ Never feel pressured into making an immediate decision

✅ Ask for identification and verify who they are

✅ Get written quotes from trusted local businesses

✅ Speak to a family member, friend, or neighbour before agreeing to anything

✅ Never hand over cash upfront

✅ If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and close the door
